Fraps Tutorial

Fraps is a program used frequently on Voobly to take in-game screenshots. This is important for many players because it is necessary to include screenshots with most complaint reports.

Downloading and Installation

  1. Download Fraps (version 3.5.9) from here.
  2. When the file download window pops up, click on 'save'.
  3. When the file download window pops up and says "Download complete" click on 'Run'.
  4. When the program opens, click 'I Agree'.
  5. Make sure the destination folder says C:/Fraps, then click 'Next'.
  6. Click 'Install'.
  7. When installation is finished, click 'Close'.

Taking a screenshot

  1. Put your computer view on what you want to take a screenshot of
  2. Press your Print Screen key on your keyboard
  3. Open Paint program on your computer
  4. Press Control V
  5. Save it.

Uploading a screenshot

  1. Go to Tinyuploads.
  2. Click 'Browse'. This brings up the 'Select File' window.
  3. Left click on the screenshot you want, and then click 'Open' at the bottom of the window. This is what you should see:

  4. Now click 'Upload'. Or you can simply drag and drop your files into the window.
  5. After the file is finished uploading, left click on the link you wish to copy and then right click and select 'copy'.
  6. Open your complaint page, right click onto the area and click 'paste'.

Uploading your recorded game

  1. Go to Tinyuploads
  2. Click 'Browse'. This brings up the 'Select File' window.
  3. Go to C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires II/Saved Game folder.
  4. Left click on the recorded game you want, and then click 'Open' at the bottom of the window. Once you click 'Open',And Then Click Upload '
  5. After the file is finished uploading, lLeft Click on your Link and then Right click and Copy.
  6. Open your complaint page, right click onto the area and click 'paste'.
