Xenogamerz made a little programe that you can download for free and use to move your mods in and out of the mm2 file with just two clicks

Download the zip file, open it, put "move_mods.bat" into midtown2 file and its ready.

Then when you want to move out your mods to use a/c, run move_mods.bat and tell it to move mods out. When you want your mods back in, run it again and tell it to move mods back in. It will do this for all mods automatically super quick, so you can swap between games with a/c and without a/c in no time at all. While your mods are moved out, they are stored in a file called "your_mods" within midtown2 folder.
