I've reinstalled the client several times...AOE also crashes right after vooble, about 2 seconds later.

try removing any mods you are playing with and see. have you done a trojan/bug scan lately? is your operating system up to date?

This actually turned out to be my very old Lynksys E3000 wireless firewall router going bad. It was occasionally dropping connection. I was very happy to find this out. It was a quick fix after the discovery...lol. Voobly not the culprit!!! yay
