I have installed AOE along with 1.4 patch from voobly. game diagnostics does not show any error.

but my AOE is unable to load any .mgz games, says cannot load old recorded games. I tried installation suggestion as per Cavin (http://www.voobly.com/forum/thread/144431), which was suggested on Help forum. it messed it up further as 1. it no more asks me which version of AOE i want to load, 2. the window opens as a very small window, with no option to maximize and 3. the saved game button no more shows any saved games, even though the files are still there in the folder

can someone help with a solution?

Text from game diagnostics as below

Non-DirectPlay game path is '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE'
Verifying '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE\language_x1.dll' exists...
Success!
Verifying '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE\age2_x1\age2_x1.exe' exists...
Success!
Voobly path is 'c:\program files\voobly'
Game version is '1.0C'
Verifying '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE\language_x1_p1.dll' exists...
Success!
Checking DirectPlay libraries...
Looking for dpwsockx.dll...
Looking for dplayx.dll...
'c:\windows\system32\dplayx.dll' size: 213504 bytes
DirectPlay Init Success!
Scanning installed DirectPlay games...
Age of Empires II
Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion [found]
Game was found in DirectPlay registry!
DirectPlay play thinks the game is installed at '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE'
DirectPlay command line is 'lobby'
DirectPlay play thinks the game exe is at '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE\AGE2_X1\age2_x1.exe'
Verifying file exists... Success!
DirectPlay play thinks the language dll is at '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\AOE\language_x1.dll'
Verifying file exists... Success!
Scanning 'c:\program files\voobly\gamedata\AOC\age2_x1.exe'
Success!

Everything looks fine. DirectPlay is configured and the game was found on your harddrive. If you still have problems try rejoining the lobby or restarting your computer.

Run SetupAoC.exe, click uninstal and Close and delete SetupAoC.exe.
Now to watch those recordings do it with voobly ,follow this guide:
