Hi,
The game used to run fine around 4 months ago (did not play in between), using same laptop and same router, but now when i play, there is a lot of lag for the first 7-8 min of game time, then it runs smoothly. windows firewall is off.
No player is fp to me, all their pings are below 350, still lags in game. PC is windows 7, 4 GB RAM.

Network diagnostics

Your local network port (UDP) is 16000. All game traffic is routed through this port. This can be changed in "Settings" -> "NAT Traversal".

Attempting to connect to 3 test servers. This will take around a minute to complete...

Received data from 'server 1' through port 16000 (this is your WAN or router port)
Received data from 'server 2' through port 16000 (this is your WAN or router port)

9 seconds left.
4 seconds left.

Test Result: All Pass
Network Health: All tests passed
Recommended Action: None
Details: All tests passed.

Please help.

hi
try deleting all the old temp saves here:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\SaveGame\Multi
C:\Program Files[86]\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\SaveGame\Multi
check your anti-virus, see what its scanning in real time and allow the game/voobly through it.
do a virus/trojan scan of the pc.

I deleted all old stored game files, still it does not work. Also ran the antivirus, no malware was found. Can it be solved using port forwarding? If so how to do it?
