I will explain the basic idea below, but please feel free to ask any questions before Voting.

1. Decay will ONLY affect ratings above 1800

6. Once a Player's rating decay's to 1800 it STOPS.

1. La decadencia SOLO afectará a puntajes sobre 1800

I hope this answers your question :) And you're not off topic at all :)

Since you speak Spanish, refer to Taff's initial post in Spanish (at the bottom of the post).

i think 10 days is kind of ridiculous...I only play on weekends and if i choose not to play one weekend that means that my rate begins to fall? seriously?

why decay points anyway? we can play unrated to get back our speed. either u remove inactive players or leave them alone. dont remove points for not playing. we like to lose our points by losing games, not by not playing.

Voobly Rating Decay will change nothing!!! you need to clean staff! mod! and after all rating! And then try to be worthy to succes after zone!
Voobly is actually synonymous of hacking, point trading, cheating, freezing etc... If you are happy with that continu you are in a good way.... Rating decay is for noob admin who think there is no problem! You need to clean in deeper!!!!!!

Isn't it better to put the decay system on the people that actually want to be a part of the rating ladder? I mean, not everyone that show up on the ladder want to be a part of it.

Personally I don't care what happens, but I can imagine some people not wanting to lose their rating due to a ladder they don't really want to be a part of.

If you don't want to be part of the ladder then why did you play rated games in the said ladder..?

Please read the post properly. I never said "I" didn't want to be a part of the rating ladder.

I think the decay system is a great idea for people that want to compete for being the best player. But it's obvious that not everyone are interested in being a part of that, regardless of them being above or below 1800. Some people play to achieve a certain rating, whether they are in "competition" like the ladders, or not. Not everyone want to be a part of the ladder, but want their rating to presist.
